Alf Siegert

Alf Siegert Reserve

Alf Siegert Reserve is situated on Lakeside Circuit, Encounter Lakes, in Encounter Bay.

Alf Siegert, a farmer of Waitpinga, was Chairman of the District Council of Encounter Bay from 1952 to 1959.

Alfred George Siegert was born to Carl Ernst Siegert and Marie Sophie Pauline Moller on 8 December 1904 at Parnaroo in the District of Burra. On 25 July 1928 he married Dossma Melinda Moller at the Methodist Manse at Mile End.

Dossma died on 9 January 1970, aged 61 years, and Alfred died 23 January 1984, aged 79 years. Both are buried in the Victor Harbor Cemetery.
