Jack Roads

One of the stories from the 2013 project: Who were they? People who shaped Victor Harbor and for whom our parks and reserves are named.

Jack Roads Reserve is situated on the corner of Broderick Terrace and Warne Street, Victor Harbor.

This reserve was named after Jack Roads, a painter and decorator, who lived in the house opposite. He played cricket and football for Encounter Bay and was a keen golfer.

Jack was married to Verna and they had two sons, John and Kym. He died 24 August 1978 and is buried in the Victor Harbor Cemetery.
