Research service

We provide personal help for members of the public at the Victor Harbor Library, 1 Bay Road, Victor Harbor, on Monday afternoons 1.00–3.00 pm.

We can help people to research families in Australia and some overseas countries.

To use the service, book at the library desk in person or by phone on 8551 0730.

We offer each client three free sessions of two hours each on Monday afternoons. After that we request that you join our group and pay a full year’s membership. This will entitle you to attend meetings which include an hour’s access to library computers, receive newsletters and other pertinent messages, access the Members Area of the website where newsletters are stored, and receive unlimited help from our members.

Remember to bring with you all the information you have about the family you’re researching. See the Getting started page of this website.

If you receive help after contacting us through our website we request a donation towards expenses, min $20. This can be paid by EFT to our bank account. We will provide details to you personally.
